Dear All

There is a petition running at the moment which may be of interest to you. It is for the government to undertake a national audit of ovarian cancer. A national clinical audit of ovarian cancer will map patients’ journeys around the country from diagnosis through their treatment to highlight best practice and identify where improvements are needed. It needs 10,000 signatures before the government will respond and it currently has 6,000.

If you would like to sign the petition to help it reach 10,000 signatures and would like to share the link with friends and family, the petition is here: petition.parliament.uk/peti...

Best wishes

I signed this a few weeks ago too, and have been sharing on Facebook.

One thing I’d point out (not everyone realises) is that when you ‘sign’ it on the website, you get sent a confirmation email with a link in. It’s only once you have clicked on this link that your signature is valid. These emails may end up in the ‘junk’ email folder, so look there if nothing seems to come through. I think some signatures aren’t being counted because people don’t realise it’s a two-step process.

Apparently I've already signed it. Luckily a faceless bureaucrat spotted it. Or maybe it was a computer.

Signed and passed it on to friends so also on Facebook now. Have you tried getting some of the women’s magazines interested? Good Housekeeping, for example? Jo

Hello Jo

That's a really good idea and I've passed it on to our CEO. The more signatures the petition gets the more likely the media will be interested, so if it can get to 10,000, media promotion may then help to push it to 100,000 for the parliamentary debate.

Also the journalists who write articles for the national press. I’m a Telegraph reader so would suggest Briony Gordon, Allison Pearson. Others could let you know re the other papers. Then there is Woman’s Hour. I see the number of signatures has increased by almost 500 since you posted!
