Pain after laperoscopy

A week is a very short time. They are deep incisions needing to heal. Think about what happens if you cut your leg a bit deeply. Don't worry.

Thank you , I think my anxiety is just so high at the moment , I’m a wreck x
I would think it takes more than a week to fully heal those 'holes', because it took quite a while to heal my drain hole, as I remember (which I'm guessing also reached quite deeply into the abdomen). Even the shallow port which was installed for chemo took almost 2 weeks to heal.
Plus, your innards will have been jumbled about to a certain degree during the surgery, even if it was done via keyhole technique. My gut instinct would be to give it some more time.
But if you notice inflammation or experience unusual pain, better be safe than sorry: Call your gp or nurse specialist and have it checked out.

I had really bad pain after my laparoscopy. I ended up ringing one of the MacMillan nurses at St Mary’s and being readmitted onto the ward. The pain was being caused by a haematoma.
When you were discharged you should have been given a contact number for the ward I would either call them or ring your MacMillan nurse
Thanks for your reply . How did they treat it . My GP came to see me yesterday and didn’t seemed concerned. I am seeing the consultant on Monday to discuss my treatment so I will show her . How are you feeling . You seem to have had a hard time of it . I send you the best luck x
