My wife was offered monthly taxol infusions for maintenance for 12 months after first-line therapy. Her onc said she'd have a longer remission time but no overall survival benefit as this report shows.

She decided not to take it as she didn't want to deal with increased toxicity and all the side effects that come with it (neuropathy, hair loss, etc.) without actual survival benefit. You'd have longer remission but always feel the effects of chemo.

Hi. It's not always easy to weigh up the pros & cons is it? But quality of life & just feeling 'well' are so important. Hope all is going well. Linda
