Had a GP appointment today, I have inflammation on the chest and fluid. Sent off for a full blood count and came back with two markers one for chest and the tumour marker on my ovaries. Is this bad news? As o am now booked for a CT scan. Could I get a high reading as I have polops on my ovaries.

Can you advice

Hi

Waiting for scans and results is such a difficult time , was going to write try not to worry but know from experience this is impossible. Bloods etc can be raised for all different reasons so try to just focus on what you know and keeping yourself busy and occupied until you have all the answers . Have you already had an ultrasound ? Hopefully your CT scan will be soon .

My CA125 was in the 3000s when diagnosed but know that other ladies CA125 can be only slightly raised so unfortunately it’s not an accurate indicator by itself . Try and stay off google, lots of the info is out of date .

Hopefully it will not be cancer but rest assured that if it is there are amazing surgeons and oncologists who can work wonders .

Good luck with your scan and let us know how you get on .

Love and best wishes Kim x 💜

Thanks Kim. My scan might be this week. Dr is rushing everything through. It all started off with a cough and chest pains, the doctors said it was costohoritious, inflammation. The pain got worse and I pushed for an x ray. The x ray showed a lesion on my chest. Then full bloods came back with this. I have water on the lungs too. So you can imagine the stress.
