Hi lovelies hope you’re all well?
Just a quick question if you’re suffering from rheumatoid arthritis after getting in remission from cancer would you be treated in your cancer clinic?

Hi there I think you would be referred to Rheumatologist by your gp. They tend to keep things separated
Yes you should be referred on to rheumatology and quickly. The accepted patient pathway for RA is to hit it hard in the first 12 weeks which gives you a chance to go into remission. Don’t worry it’s not like chemo...although they do use old chemo drugs sometimes. Best of luck with it xx Lyndy
Like the others I would agree you need to be referred to a Rheumatologist. I was under them before I has cancer and remained under their care whilst having ca treatment. I would see if your GP would refer you asap. You may be offered joint injections or medication but the quicker you see them the better it will be for your joints. Sorry you've got this to contend with after ca, life can be tough sometimes but hopefully Rheumatology will sort you out. TAke Care, Jo xx
It’s not me it’s somebody me and my special person know we’re a bit confused as to why she’s saying “I’m free of cancer have been for 2 years but I’m regularly in the chemo unit for treatment for rheumatoid arthritis” as I said to my special person the person we know would be referred elsewhere like she is being referred to the neurologist for her hand xxx
At least if you have RA you seem to be followed up for life and not like us who get discharged and have to get on with it and hopefully have a on the ball GP
