Just wondering if anyone has had radiotherapy for ovarian cancer?

Hi Asma,

I've had 2 single lots of radiotherapy for my first recurrence. It was to my vaginal cuff, to stem the bleeding I had. It has worked, quite tender afterwards for a week or so.

Hi, yes I'm based in Cardiff. They targeted the one spot only, but it seems to have done the job.

I also had it about 3 years ago for excessive vaginal bleeding due to,the intrusion of the tumour into the vagina. Worked well until next recurrence. Only downside is that you can’t have it in the same spot on subsequent occasions when you might feel it would be helpful. However it let me get back into the pool for a few months which I’d really missed. Good Luck. x

I have recently had radiation for recurrence in my sacrum and am now pain free and currently on chemo again Seems to have worked well

I had rt to kill a small recurrence and it was okay. Your tummy may get upset but you balance your fibre intake to combat any looseness. I had to wear pure cotton undies and ditch the tights I used to love in the winter. never went back to them unless I have a wedding etc. You get a little tired but take it nice and easy
