i ve done my first chemo
Well done,it's such a relief to get the first one out of the way. I felt ok for 48 hours then gradually tiredness and muscle aches kicked in, so be kind to yourself and rest.
Gill xx
Aah...pharmacy! The hiccup in the works...
Well done and may the rest go smoothly. I remember actually coming out on a high from the first chemo session ( all of 7/ 8 hours...) but there could well be a 'but' after a few days. You should climb out of this in week 2 and 3
Take care and care of yourself

thankyou i must admit i felt great too and could not stop talking to my daughter as she sat through the process with me .i will take it easy and rest when needed
Hi choconut
So glad it went well. Take it easy now and listen to your body. If you need sleep then take a nap. Sending lots of love xxx
Glad it went ok and hoping you don't suffer from too many side effects . Remember any problems you can ask the ladies on here but also don't hesitate ringing your CNS nurse . I felt spaced out after my first chemo , think it was the steroids. Try and do a little walking each day , especially if you have aches in legs and remember to drink plenty of water .
Love and best wishes Kim x
Glad it went well. Be kind to yourself now, listen to you body xx big hug, Kathy
Well done. The steroids may well make you hyper for a day or so, so you can get all the housework done now before tiredness eventually kicks in.
Don't forget to ring that 24 hour number if any problems. I did several times (for sickness, constipation and a slight temperature) and each time the nurse was wonderfully supportive and sorted out the problem. Good luck xxx
hi, just like to say well done remember most of the side effect can be handled, you have lots of support on here and your oncology team...take care lorraine xx🎉🎉
I won't know until after my surgery on the 5 th of October if I will have chemo but I have been scared of what it will be like. Glad to know for you it wasn't so bad the first time and best wishes and prayers fingers crossed that you won't have many side effects if any at all.
Well done, it's good to get that first one done, blooming pharmacy but they're very busy but you got there. It is a long day but now it's important to take care of you, take the drugs and listen to what your body is telling you, if you're tired rest, if you're hungry eat if you're not hungry drink and keep hydrated. Be body aware 😊. Keep up the good work lovely, 1 down only 5 to go, keep as well as you can ❤️Xx Jane
