Hi all.

I usually pop on here more regularly but I’ve been very busy at work which I find great as it gives me no time to think of the obvious.

I hope everyone is doing ok with their treatment or if you’re in remission. Xxxx

Hi Carol.

How are you?

I like this weather. I love the leaves changing colour. I like sweater and boots weather. Xxx

Me too. I love the crispness in the air. When i was told last year that I had cancer and that I would lose my hair with the chemo, I remember thinking that it was a bit like Autumn. My red hair would fall only to come back again the next summer (thankfully not green!!!) Happy Birthday xx

Hi Suzanne , how are you getting on with your avastin? I will be finishing mine 26th of October. I'm very lethargic and lots of muscle and joint ache. I suffer from bloatedness as well but then it dis appears. So I don't know what to think anymore. Hope your ok and enjoying your remission. I'm diagnosed at stage 3c high grade serous last year. It's a year this month! And determined to stay alive for a long long time!! Take care. Xxxx

Hi.

My avastin was cancelled about two months ago. It was affecting my kidneys. My CA125 was rising too. I had a PET scan and it showed small volume cancer in the peritoneum, near the liver and bowel. I feel ok at the moment so will wait and see when chemo starts. My CA125 is 368 at the moment.

I’m glad you are in remission. You keep that way. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hugs. Xx

I was also diagnosed a year ago this month with high grade serous 3c and am on Avastin. I too get very bloated and have muscle and joint pain. Do you have any problems with your neck? Mine gets very painful and I sometimes find it hard to move at all. I just wondered if this was common with Avastin. Like yourself I am also planning on being around for a very long time. Sending gentle hugs xx

Hi there, it looks like we're the same, diagnosed last September also with 3c high grade serous. The only difference is I'm not on any trials. I will finish my avastin 26th October . Hopefully the bloatedness will subside once I finish with the avastin. When I asked my oncologist with all the pains I'm suffering , she told me it's the chemo side effects.. I did have shoulder and neck ache but that dis appeared with nurofen and paracetamol. So I'm still taking paracetamol regularly as per adviced by my oncologist. If you don't mind me asking where you from and what hospital to you attend? Take care. Xxx

Hi there Luchie

Thank you for replying. I'm based in Cheltenham and am seen at Cheltenham General. I'm on the Icon 8b trial so my avastin will be going on until January or February. Hopefully my bloating will reduce then too. It's difficult to tell whether my pains are chemo or avastin related but like yourself I'm on the pain killers too. If the disease doesn't give us enough problems, the treatment gives them too. Sending hugs xx

I also have a lot of joint and muscle pain. worse now that it was finishing chemo almost a year ago. I was not on avastin. I cannot just blame it on another year older. Chemo really takes its toll.

hugs to all, Carol

Yes. Chemo does take its toll. Try and rest and eat well when in chemo. Read a good book. Xxxxx

Hi Suzanne - I had my first 3 monthly check earlier this month and my CA125 is behaving at 10. I've been back at work this month and like you find being busy takes my mind off the obvious although when work gets stressful I worry about how it might impact on my health.

I'm glad you feel OK at the moment and even though your CA125 is high, I hope things remain stable for a bit longer for you.

Hi Andrea.

Thank you for your message.

I’m so pleased your CA125 is behaving itself and I hope it does for a very long time Hugs. Xxx

Hi Suzanne, good you are working away, yes anything to keep the mind from going into overactive is good for you. My last scan was stable so back for clinical review in December. In the meantime I also try to keep busy by getting involved in stuff.

Hi Suzanne

I'm the same lately, just wanting to find more normality and not focus on all this. I love the ladies on here but just need to spend time away from it sometimes.

Hope you are doing ok and not worrying about things, like you say work really helps.

I'm just over 5 months into 1st line remission and although CA125 crept up to 19 from 8 it was going down again last week and is now 14. They say it was my uti causing it, at the time I didn't believe them but turns out they were right.

Off to Orlando with our kids and grandkids in 2 weeks time, I'm grateful that I am still stable as long had visions that it could all be back by now (like it was for my sister). I don't know about you, but the sunrises, sunsets and stars are so much brighter and appreciated nowadays.

Thinking of you

Hello Marian.

Great news that your CA125 is going down. This disease is a real edge of the seat ride.

We have to keep positive and just get on with it.

You keep well and have an amazing holiday.

Hi Suzanne, it's so nice to hear from you 😊.

I'm glad you're enjoying your work, a busy mind is a good mind.

I too love the autumnal colours and crisp mornings, it's just a shame winter has to follow on but that in turn gives us the opportunity to look forward to spring which I also really love with new plant life coming through.

I hope your CA125 doesn't get too high and they can give you a chemo to bring it down and sort those little barsteward nasty cells out and that it doesn't make you too poorly.

Take care lovely, keep as well as you can and keep that mind busy, big hugs. ❤️Xx Jane

Hi Suzanne, glad you are doing well! I have decided that early retirement is the way forward for me as currently having 2nd line chemo so doubly fatigued! Hopefully I will pick up enough to have a winter holiday somewhere warm - keep well and enjoy every day! X
