Hi Izzy

I had a mucinous adenocarcinoma last year. Mine burst on surgery and was according to the surgeon "huge" but he managed to remove it all. He upstaged mine to stage 3 because it had burst. I had chemo taxol/carboplatin 6 sessions. A ct scan taken just after I started chemo showed I was NED and have been since August 2016. I'm feeling really fit at the moment and enjoying life as much as possible.

Try not to worry, I know easy said. Are you going for chemo, as "belt and braces"?

Best wishes and a big hug

Dil

Hi Izzy,

I also had a mucinous tumour which burst (during op) so was stsged 1c grade 1. I had carboplatin only as 'belt & braces' after big op. I finished chemo over 4 1/2 years ago and have been NED since.

Chemo was tough but like so so many here i got through it and theres every reason to know you will to.

There's lots of fabulous advice and old threads here with good tips. My best advice is to take things one step at a time. Fear is very natural but you have good cause for optimism...

Wishing you hope & strength Sxxx
