Hi & thank you so much for all the responses from my post last week. I was really having a bad few days with the emergency scan scheduled in with 24 hours notice and the rise in my CA125 even tho on Caelyx and carbo.
The scan showed no change the tumours in my lungs are un changed and no evidence of the disease anywhere else. My onc is still not happy she has said it could possibly be something is happening but just not presented itself yet (this is what happened when we found it in my lungs) or it could just be the ongoing shingles with each cycle. I had a schedUled CA125 yesterday and it's gone up by another 50 I'm now sitting at 513. 😡
I'm hoping that it starts to go down after today as today I had the final Caelyx combo number 6!!
She wants to see me in 4 weeks time for a follow up and to have another ca125 done. I've stopped worrying now and going on the scan results and putting me big floppy positive hat back on!! I'm in great hands with my onc and will just deal with whatever the next results are I guess. Feel relived that this treatment is over as it's been grim & I'll keep everything crossed that it's not a second reoccurrence pending....
Love to all xxxxx

Good plan to go with the scan results. 125 is impacted by a lot of things and shingles is pretty major and very uncomfortable. So hopefully a good Christmas and a scan and blood test after in the early New Year? Also superb to read that you have a good relationship with your Onc as that's so important.
I do hope that you start to feel better now that the 6 th chemo is done and dusted and you've ring that virtual chemo bell!!!
It's good that you have a good relationship with your oncologist, she seems to be on the ball. Try to be positive and go with the scan results, as other ladies have said on this forum, the CA125 can fluctuate for different reasons. Hope you feel a little more like you for Christmas and be safe in the knowledge you are being looked after. Have a lovely Christmas and put some tinsel on the floppy positive hat. Take lots of care & sending big virtual hugs & lots of love ❤️Xx🎄 Jane
What a healthy attitude you have, & sounds like a good oncologist too. Just wishing you the very best and praying you're in remission. Sending lots of love xxxx
