I'm still awaiting test results - which is frustrating and scary.
My story started with early rapid menopause (I'm 37) which my Gyno wanted to find out why - plus routine bloods showed slightly elevated CA-125, my gyno requested a ultrasound which showed a 4cm solid tumour on my right ovary the left they couldn't see due to too much intestinal gas (always knew I am full of hot air).
I've had a whole list of blood tests this week - I'm hoping I'll get the results before I see the consultant on the 8th of June.
I'm trying to find out what happens next? I'm in pain constantly bloated, swing from constipation to loose tummy, bleeding after sex or if I have a bit of a bump (like falling over) I'm just scared and confused and wondering if anyone has ever had this journey start with menopause as a symptom or is just coincidence and unrelated?

I am not sure I can be of much help but I am sure you will get some great advice from other ladies on the site! I just wanted to say that the waiting part is definately the worst and you will find that once you have a plan you will feel much better! My cyst was 16cm and step no 1 was to remove it!
Easier said than done but try not to worry as worry has a tendency to suck the joy from life and life is too short for that! Be confident that no matter what your test results indicate there is something they can do about it! Hope it all works out for you and keep in touch the ladies on this board are lifesavers!!
Hello...I feel for you having to wait for results is exhausting and scary. What you are going through (umpteen scans and blood tests) is normal, the multi disciplinary team is working to get you a really solid diagnosis (whether or not it is OC) and they will then agree a treatment plan. While you are the one waiting it seems like agony but they are trying to do their absolute best for you...so let them do their stuff and try to treat yourself, take support when it's offered and concentrate on nursing yourself through this horrible time.
There's loads of support available through this site but you don't want to jump ahead of yourself until you know what's going on.
Don't panic. I know it's easier said than done and all of us on here panicked at some point. You just need to wait to see the results. Also remember that there is lots of different types tumours and the majority are not cancerous.
this site is a great resource. Any questions just ask on here are there are many very knowledgeable ladies.
Dear Pixie, I just found this site too and the support is very helpful indeed. It's the waiting and the fear that get to me and raise my anxiety levels. We're all different and the doctors are right to run all the test thoroughly before they tell you the options. It's frustrating but so much better than them listing every scenario. I had the opposite with a dr who a few weeks ago who worried me senseless about a type of surgery I may need. He didn't know and thought he was being helpful. I can tell you that it didn't.
You must be so worried. Maybe it's sensible to accept that the Drs may decide to remove the cyst. So perhaps preparing yourself mentally for an operation may make sense. So try and eat well which is hard when you are so uncomfortable and feel so anxious. Keep moving around as that's great for letting the wind escape. Gentle walking in the park helped me.
This site is full of ladies who have had the worst news but many , many times (in fact most times), the cysts when they are removed are just cysts and not cancer. Please try and remember that (if you can) for the time being.
Just wanted to say that most of us have been there with the waiting game. It's horrible, but there is nothing you can do about it, so try not to worry.
Easier said than done, I know. If I remember correctly after my ct scan I was seen within a week or so, so would of thought you would find something out before the 8 th June.
If you are filled with fluid they may decide to drain you to alleviate the pain. They may take biopsies of the tumour or they may just decide to operate straight away, either way chances are you need to prepare yourself for a hospital visit.
Thank you everyone - just waiting on a call back from the Dr's I called to see if I could get the blood test results and the receptionist said a GP will call me today .
Hi I'm totally with you. Like you I had 14 days before gynae specialist appt then after for test results. Please don't google things as you will make yourself ill. Rely on friends and family knowing you are in the best hands and whatever it is there will be a treatment plan and you need to be strong to get through it. X
