Hi harrybob, sore mouth and bleeding gums can happen if you are on treatment. I would suggest you use Corsodyl Mouth wash and a soft tooth brush for the moment. In a former life, I was a dental nurse, then changed career. Salt water mouth washes with tepid water with a teaspoonful salt was also a good cure. For my self, I have been prescribed difflam mouth wash and salt water rinses. If you are finished treatment, I would suggest you visit your dentist, in case you need an antibiotic. Maybe you are on warfarin or something like that, if so speak to your gp. Hope that helps a bit,

Thanks for your advice I will see how it goes already using diffam and soft toothbrush. But I am due to my last cycle of,advastin but I see how it goes. And then see dentist

It could be the Avastin, I have been lucky, a few mouth ulcers and blood nose and lately sore feet getting worse. Keep using soft toothbrush and change it every so often. Hope you stay well otherwise, best wishes

Thanks for that I will perservere

Hi Harrybob. When I was on Avastin, I carried on using an electric toothbrush with a small round brush head. I found that my gums were better than when I used an ordinary soft toothbrush, no matter how carefully I brushed. I also used a toothpaste for three to five year olds as normal toothpaste really stung my gums. In fact, although I finished Avastin in February, I have only just stopped using it.

Hope you can soon stop changing your pillow case. It must be a real bind having to do so.

Best wishes, Solange. :-)

Thank you for that
