How long do you get followed up after debulking and chemo as I have been discharged. I was stage 1C. clear cell. Interested to know how follow up varies across the country. I did not have a scan or bloods!

Hi. I gather that every part of UK is different so can't really comment. But generally speaking - you will be seen by the surgical or medical oncologist in about 3 months. Scans may not be done, unless they need to check if any evidence of remaining cancer. usually a blood test is done a few days before the review also.

But, contact your liaison nurse and ask.

Hope all is well and that you recover from everything.

Hi

Are you not having chemo? As far as I can tell chemo is standard treatment especially with a diagnosis of Clear Cell OC.

You say you have been dis charged? Does this mean you won't be having any follow up? I assume they were satisfied that they removed all the cancer but I would have though they would have offered adjuvant chemotherapy??

Generally follow up is for 3 months for the first 2 yrs and providing the is no reoccurence then you move onto 6 monthly appointments
