Sorry Julia

My reply went unfinished and too soon. I was just saying that it is good you are over your treatment and now you can concentrate on recovering from it all. Be kind to yourself and take it easy for now. If you need any help there are lots of lovely women with various experiences who will only be too happy to help.

Hi Julia,

Welcome to this great site. You can do a search for key words and see what's already been asked and replied to, or just post any questions you want answers to or exoeriecnces you want to share.

Hopefully you are still resting and recovering from surgery. Did you have your chemo before your surgery or three before and three after?

Hope you aren't suffering too much and have a good support network, you'll find one here too

Take care

Clare x

Hi Had six cycles of chemo, very positive experience. I looked at the chemo as a healing process, no side effects apart from baldness. I was able to walk every day which I found therapeutic. I had to walk on the flat in a park. I attended the ova care day in cork in April, that was very informative day. It was good to meet other ladies who had gone through the process. I am on week 4 of recovery after hysterectomy, did an hour's walk today.

Hi Julia, Welcome to this wonderful site. It is great you have both your chemo and surgery behind you . Be good to yourself and try not to over do things . I hope you can make the Barbecue on the 13th on Cork. Kittie

HI julia you are indeed very welcome to join us. You are only four weeks post surgery make sure you get enough rest too and dont over do it. Well it was raining here in Cork today, even the dogs are refusing to go out for us. Ovacare are having a BBQ on 13th August in Clarion again and it would be great if you could come along, hopefully the sun will come as well. It is scheduled for 1.30pm or thereabouts. I am delighted you enjoyed the patient day, it was a great one in fact, full of information and nice people. So I agree with Kittie, be kind to yourself, take rest as well as walks.
