Never heard of borderline cancer thought you either had it or didn't maybe it was about to turn.

Why are you thinking of it now 5 years later is something worrying you

Yeah feel generally fatigued all the time. Throwing up bile and all have a stomach ache.

Hi pagron, I had partial debulking in 2005 and result was borderline and they told me they dont treat borderline as there is nothing to treat. Completed op full hysterectomy in 2006 and got chemo as my insurance policy. I have had recurrences since. My advice to you is see your gp asap and ask for referral to oncology gynae . It may be just a bug but better to be sure. Wishing you the best and keep us informed

Hi. Like cath40, never heard of borderline cancer - so it may have been cells that may become cancerous. Anyway, reading your comments I would also suggest that you go to your GP and ask for referral to Oncologist asap with symptoms. Hopefully, it will be a tummy bug and/or gall bladder blockage by stones, and treatable. I know that in early stage OC diagnosis they will give chemotherapy as an insurance. Do keep us posted on outcome of GP visit etc and my best wishes to you. Daisies

Hi pagron. I have also had a borderline diagnosis. Mine was a 3cm borderline serous tumour found after removal of my right ovary at the end of January 2014. Ovacome have an excellent leaflet explaining what they are (no.10 on this list.

ovacome.org.uk/resources/ov...

I then had a hysterectomy and biopsies to be able to stage it. I will get the results next week and I'm really hoping that they have caught it early enough that I don't need chemo or any further treatment.

I agree with the advice from the others to get a referral to check out what's going on.

Best wishes, Elkaa

I have Borderline Ovarian Tumours. Initially I had a Laparoscopic removal of my ovaries for an ovarian cyst. I was told the pathology came back as Stage 2C Ovarian Cancer and was referred to a Gynae Oncologist. Six weeks after my first op I had a laparsocopic removal of my uterus, cervix, omentum and partial removal of my peritoneum. This is all turned out to be Borderline Ovarian Tumours stage 3 (because it had spread into my abdomen). I was told it is slow growing and does not therefore respond to chemo so I will be monitored every 3 months with my CA125 checked and annual CT scans. I am also being entered into a current study re Borderline.

The Borderline diagnosis I have been told is neither malignant not is it benign. It does not spread into other organs but can recur and require further surgery.

I would go to see your GP and also access the leaflet online re Borderline that someone posted a link to above. It has been a horrible rollercoaster to be honest and if you need support please do get in touch.
