hi, I'm 64 with well-managed bp and hypothyroid; I enjoyed a lot of walking until recently when I damaged a knee ligament, and I eat well. My diagnosis of osteoporosis was a bit of a kick in the teeth, to say the least.

I need advice on everything now.

What food to eat

what supplements to take

anything else you can think of.

Hoping to get some advice here,

cx

Hi, I have severe osteoporosis but I decided to take the route if self help and not prescription drugs but I did lots of research and that is ongoing. There is lots of information and support available but my simple advice would be to find out about foods and supplements that specifically help the bones and, with expert help, devise an exercise programme that includes weights and resistance training. We are told we can't improve without pharma drugs so it is a difficult choice.
