Finding locations in Texas for echolight scans
I'm trying to see if they have a center in WI. If you go to the echo light website, a rep will contact you. A rep emailed me yesterday saying she will contact me soon.
I contacted the company earlier this year and I got this reply in February 2022:
I am Vicki Baldwin, the Clinical Application Specialist for Echolight Medical, USA. I was given your information because you inquired about being able to find a facility in your area to have a scan performed. Currently the sites that are available for clinical scanning of patients are in New Jersey (2), North Carolina (2), and Maryland (1). We are working very hard to get the word out of our newly open US operations, and we will update you of any openings near you if you want to be included on our mailing list!
Below are sites available for REMS exams:

Thank you for this- so few sites…
Their US headquarters opened not too long ago. Now that they are established here, I guessing that most major US city will have at least one within the 2-3 yrs. I’m in GA and there isn’t one here yet either so my next scan will be a standard DEXA scan.
I’m a small person: 4’11” current weight 107 lbs. For most of my adult life, I weighed between 92 - 101 lbs
My 1st DEXA in 2019 showed my lumbar spine had a -3.9 t-score. My 2021 DEXA showed my lumbar spine had improved to -3.7.
Unfortunately, I didn’t start doing my own research until after I’d let my endocrinologist scare me into taking osteoporosis-meds. Now that I know more I’ve learned DEXA often aren’t accurate for smaller ppl and that my endocrinologist failed to do a lot of testing he should have done prior to prescribing meds.
I attended an webinar about bone turnover markers recently and one thing the speaker mentioned was TBS (trabecular bone scan/score) being a better measure for bone strength for smaller ppl so right now I’m trying to find an imaging center that has the capability to include the TBS w/ my next DEXA—unfortunately, I’m not having any luck and my unhealthy endocrinologist doesn’t know either—how can a doctor claim to treat osteoporosis when he can’t even tell me where I can get well-known osteoporosis tests done?
I’m going to a new endocrinologist this week! Hope she’s better than the guy I’ve been going to for the last few yrs.
I have a few helpful links posted in my bio. If you are interested check it out and copy and paste the links into your browser.
Mist57 - I found this info on another group that I'm part of. This is in College Station, Texas. They do have Echolight. AOCBV ( Arthritis & Osteoporosis Clinic of Brazos Valley ) Dr. Ricardo Pocurull, College Station, TX 979-696-8000
The College Station, Texas office stopped offering this unless you are an established patient. They apparently did previously offer just the REMS in a one time visit for a cash pay up until a “few weeks” ago. I was prepared to make the 3.5 hour drive from DFW, but not multiple times. Hoping that Echolight becomes more available in multiple locations.
