Hi, my 16-year-old son has front teeth that are misaligned. Despite the fact that it is misaligned, it does not appear to be too bad. He'd like it straightened out. I've never used Invisalign and have very little knowledge of it. We plan on seeing a dentist as soon as possible. Before I do that, I'd like to hear from you. Is an Invisalign brace or a metal brace better for misaligned teeth?

Is an Invisalign brace or a metal brace better for misaligned teeth?
My son had metal braces in high school. They worked ok but he was not good about wearing his retainer so they became misaligned again. As a young professional in his 20’s he decided he wanted to fix his teeth again. He went with Invisalign and this time he paid for it himself ( with help from his employer’s dental insurance). His teeth came out great and he now wears his retainer at night (probably because he spent a lot of his own money on Invisalign). It was the right decision for him and worked well.
Thank you for your response. I see that Invisalign braces helped your son's teeth. I've heard my close friend recently underwent Invisalign treatment. Despite the fact that her teeth were not in such bad shape before, she is pleased with the results and stated that there was only a slight inconvenience. She also liked that they were detachable and less visible than traditional braces. After consulting with my dentist, I would consider using Invisalign ( appletondental.ca/services/... ) for my son.
Hi PaulyJoe87, you might be able to find a group on HealthUnlocked that deals with dental issues. This is an osteoporosis/bone health forum. Thanks!
