Have not tried, but if I was seeing my current endocrinologist at the time of my diagnosis, she would have recommended it. It builds bone and also is an antiresorptive. I believe the only issue is that you need to have no cardiovascular health concerns. Also, I don't know if insurance would not cover unless you have had a fracture. Also, ask if you have to switch to an antiresorptive after you go off of Evenity. That would be a plus if you don't have to do that. I am currently on Tymlos, and it has improved my BMD after only 4 months. But I am told that the biggest improvement occurs in the first 3-4 months of taking it. After taking Tymlos for 18-24 months, I will need to go on an antiresorptive.
Good luck to you!
It's a new drug, so I doubt there's been long enough to record any successes. It hasn't been approved in England due to concerns about possible side effects, though has been approved in Scotland. I understand that you only take it for a year and then, like Prolia, have to go straight onto another medication, probably a bisphosphonate. There's a warning that the more elderly are more susceptible to side effects than younger people (drugs.com/cons/romosozumab-...
