American Bone Health is leading a major educational campaign in the Tampa Bay, Florida, area in partnership with a new community coalition called Healthy Bones Tampa Bay (americanbonehealth.org/hbtb/). The Tampa Bay area has the highest rate of osteoporotic fractures among comparable U.S. metro areas, so this a great opportunity to make a difference. We hope to use this as a model for other cities to engage and activate people to improve their bone health.

Amgen is providing support for this campaign.

Activities will include virtual workshops (and hopefully some in-person events when it's safe!) for consumers and health care providers, outreach to minority and underserved populations and young people, and media. Here's a series of informative videos that appeared on a local news program called "Tampa Bay's Morning Blend." Enjoy!
