Need some advice

Been suffering with acid reflux and hitnas hernia for years was diagnosed September 23 at hospital given medication and advice, but I am medication sensitive so still badly suffering I've had the sour taste when acid plays up and the metallic taste but lately I keep waking up to taste I can only describe like taste of dead, keep getting bad attacks of acid reflux that burns my throat out then I always end up with bad chest infection shortly after and bad cough like now, I'm following all the advice giving taking medication and Gaviston but mine seems to be triggered my pressure not food which can't be avoided when got young kids I just dunno what to do anymore been told they won't do op and making Me more depressed

P.s all docs seem to advise me keep taking tablets eat small meals ect which already do

Sorry to hear of your problems. Mine are similar, I know how depressing it can be. There are several different PPI meds available and it might take a few trys to find one that suits you. I personally find Omeprazole or Lansoprazole help me the best. I take Gaviscon Double strength just before bed as I find nightime acid reflux is worse time for me and sleep propped up. Hope you find some relief soon.

My doctor has giving me most meds to try I'm medication sensitive as well so had quite bad side effects on some currently back on omeprazole twice a day have side effects on but at moment only one that helps bit but do get side effects on, mine seems to be triggered by pressure mostly I do have wedge for bed time has been choaking In the night still do occasional even with wedge, do have medical help from doctors but but I'm doing all they suggested feel like not improving Thank you so much for your advice though much appreciated just don't know what eles I can do

Have you tried Famotidine? It works in a different way to PPI's but may have less side effects for you. Regards.

I did yes for me was worst ones with side effects took me weeks to recover from them ones unfortunately, gonna take a look at some books bout diet plans see if anything eles can help, Would help if I wasn't medication sensitive 🙈🙈

Get yourself on cabbage and celery juice every morning.

Most acid reflux is caused by NOT enough acid in the stomach, totally different than what doctors are tell you. Look low acid symptoms.

To get rid of the acid in your throat, get white vinegar, dilute it with water to your liking and gargle with it at least 3 times a day, make sure to do it before bed, it should resolve the problem in about 3/4 days. Mine was coming up into my sinuses also, to resolve that you take straight white vinegar and stiff it through out the day and that will kill it. That could be why you are getting the metal taste.

For chest issues look up the supplement NAC, for clearing the lungs.
