Silent reflux and night breathing

Hi, I've had what I think is silent reflux for a while now. Big flare up of chesty morning cough, awful stuffy nose, sore throat in the morning. The nose and throat symptoms has settled somewhat with a steroid nose spray and a course of PPI.

I've had, however since it started flaring up very weird sleep. A sensation of choking in my dreams, making weird noises as I fall asleep, frequent wakings etc. I'm 43 and perimenopausal and strongly suspect its sleep apnea though my partner says i'm not massively snoring.

Is an irregular breathing pattern at night linked to reflux? I know to seek out a sleep study but just hoping it might be more reflux that's easily treatable! Thanks for your thoughts

Gerd can cause breathing problems. But the choking sounds like sleep apnea.
