bloating

Does anyone with reflux issues on PPIs also suffer from severe bloating? I’m fine until I eat my lunch. Then straight after I’m severely bloated for the rest of the day no matter what I eat.

I do get bloating with IBS symptoms. I also have Gerd.

Hello, I have severe acid reflux, but only take Gaviscon or bicarbonate of soda. I also have bloating from lunch onwards.

Hi...I was diognosed with acid reflux and IBS was on PPI but couldn't take as it also bloated me up and made my symptoms worse. so came off them just on Gavisgon extra.now as and when. . Which helped my bloating but I also did go on a low fod map diet which has helped my bloating.. I have cut out dairy and have lactose free and gluten free foods which is hard at first.. But it does help and stops most bloating but if I do get symptoms of bloating I also take Buscapan for the stomach cramps of IBS..I also cut all fat off meat and have smaller portions of food.. Don't have any fizzy drinks just plain warm water with meals..

I hope this helps but it trial and error of what to eat..and drink. But I have controlled my symptoms.. Hope you feel better soon.

I suffer from bloating usually after lunch depending what I have eaten I only have a drink of water after I have finished my meal and find this helps or Gaviscon 20mls
