appetite

has anyone else noticed their appetite isn’t as good when acid is making the stomache feel yuk …. I’m eating but only what I fancy it’s horrible

Sometimes unsure if’s the. Acid or tablets that make me feel yuk ….. anyone else feel like this

Hi, yes I feel the same. I never get hungry and only eat my main meal because I have to, not because I want it. I prefer to just nibble at a few things like a banana, a biscuit or piece of cake. I think the PPI meds do affect your appetite. Also when your stomach is sore from the acid reflux, it is telling you not to eat too much to risk inflaming it any more. Not much fun is it, especially at this time of year. Good luck.

glad u replied with that puts my mind at ease a little as wen u look online it says no appetite /acid. Burping could all be signs of something more sinister 😞 praying big and it’s just my acid caused by anxiety 🙏

I find porridge is filling and very kind to the stomach. Its my go to when I can't face anything else. I'm not taking PPI at the moment. I'm managing ok with just Gaviscon for the time being. I wish I could drink wine. It never feels like a proper celebration without it and I used to love a nice glass of red.
