My Acidity Symptoms started in June 2020. Initially tried to manage it with omeprazole 20mg per day
In Oct 2020 had endoscopy which showed H Pylori infection but no inflammation. Very strange
November 20 Had triple treatment therapy 7 days treatment with Amoxcilline, Clarithomycine and Pantoprazole
January 2021 - Symptoms did not improve so second triple therapy treatment with Amoxcilline, Metronidazole and omeprazole
March 2021 - Stool Test for H Pylori was negative - no PPI for at least 14 days
May 2021 - 2nd Stool Test for H Pylori was negative - no PPI for at least 14 days
June 2021 - Jan 2022 - Symptoms under control and no major issue with acidity. No PPI used during this period
Jan 2022 - Symptoms worsen because of work stress and relocation
Feb 2022 - 3rd Stool Test for H Pylori was negative - no PPI for at least 14 days
March 2022 to May 2022. Controlled Symptoms with Dexilant 30mg a day
June 2022 to August 2022. Symptoms under control no PPI used
July 2022 - Urea breath test for H Pylori was negative - no PPI for at least 14 days
17 Sep 2022 - Helicobacter antibody test was also negative.
29 Sep 22 - Did another endoscopy to double check as symptoms will not away (was on PPI). Histology report found Mild chronic gastritis associated with occasional helicobacter organism on the surface. Helicobacter gastritis diagnosed
October 2022. Completed 14 days triple therapy course of Amoxcilline 1g x2, Levofloxacin 500mg x2 and Dexilant 30mg x2 per day.
Main symptoms are pain (sometimes sharp very) in the epigastric area, fullness after eating a little, feeling something stuck in the throat and occasionally burning in the abdominal
So far symptoms not improved much.
How is it possible to still have helicobacter after all those negative tests in the last 2 years?
Has anyone had multiple treatments for h pylori and did you manage to get rid of it in the end?
How to heal Chronic gastritis?
what do people take for epigastric pain as buscopan or melverine do not seem to help as they are for lower abdominal
any other treatment tried for h pylori eradication?
