I've been on 1 Lansoprazole a day for 10 months for reflux and had Peptac 4 times a day for 2 months early on. I called my GP today to ask for Peptac again and he asked lots of questions before agreeing to me taking it.

In recent months I've had increasingly bad diarrhoea and nausea, occasionally with vomiting. GP has arranged blood and stool tests. This evening after dinner I'm getting sharp pains around the left side of my stomach area, even though I have taken Gaviscon.

Some mornings I cough so hard its difficult to take a breath. I get a lot of mucus coming up too.

Im 57 now and in my mid 20s I was diagnosed with IBS after investigation and wonder if some of this is down to that.

I work from home and in an online meeting yesterday I almost had to leave due to nausea. I'm exhausted all the time and so fed up of this now.

How do you keep going?

Its tough you have to believe you will be ok one day. Do everything you can to help yourself. Educate your self and understand what you are fighting acid in the stomach causes inflammation in your body. Control the acid with meds, diet, get moving gentle exercise outside your house it helps if you lose weight this takes pressure off your stomach and it helps your mental health. Try to relax and work on removing stress meditate etc. Use anti inflammatory teas probiotics fruit and veg health drinks. Stick at it you will improve. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🥦🥦🥦🥦
