Hi all had all the test done top and bottom & CT scans all came back clear, but really struggling with constipation as well, and lost 2 stone in weight Doc put me on rabeprazole PPI s and gave me Docusate and lactulose, the Docusate leaves me with nausea and a terrible taste in my mouth, do any of you recommend a laxative, also do you think other PPI s are better. On a low fat food fish chicken sweet potato. Really struggling, Doc also gave me a Pro-Cal Shot high protein drink wondering if the fat content is agrivating me . What veg do any of you recommend or fruit. Really down at the moment .Really appreciate any help at all. Any of you drink camomile tea decaff or can that upset you. Put down for a dietitian but not till April. May go private if someone knows a good one . Thanks all again.

Hi, good news that all your tests were clear. I too have Gastritis which has awful flare ups from time to time despite watching my diet etc. I can only drink tea, water or Lacto free milk. I have been on Omeprazole 20mg for several years which don't seem to have too many side effects. I think all PPIs cause some constipation (which I also suffer from). Instead of Lactulose you could try Movicol sachets as an alternative. Good luck.
