Hi I was wondering g if anyone could advise my little boy hasn’t seen a health visitor since he was about 3-4 months old the lady said she will come back at 9-12 months haven’t seen her or heard from her he’s nearly 2years old now and I’m worried he’s behind on his speech and language and I don’t know what to do to help, I downloaded this app called speech blubs and the questions for me to answer are indicating that there’s is 7 potential issues with his speech and language I’m so confused and worried that if I don’t get help he’s going to be so behind

Hi

I can understand this may be worrying for you. If you call us we can advise you and offer support if you’d like it.

Our number is 0300 300 0123, there are health visitors and assistant practitioners in there, who can make sure Zachary and you get the support you’d like.

Hope this is ok.

Hi I’ve used the phone number given by NorfolkHV and they’ve been really helpful and reassuring, definitely worth a call. Then, depending where you are in the County, some children’s centres have speech and language drop-in sessions that might be helpful for you. The worst thing is worrying by yourself so well done for posting on here!

I’m in Norfolk in a tiny village with limited transport :( so glad I found this page, I find it hard being a single parent with very little income and not much help other than my parents thankyou :) I’m going to give them a call and see what they say in the next few days and see what they suggest
