Now that the weather is (hopefully) starting to improve, where are your favourite places to explore outdoors?
With the cost of living crisis having a big impact on the affordability of days out with little ones it would be great to hear about fun things to do in our county that are free or budget-friendly.
Getting outside is a fantastic way to support your child's development and is good for everyone's emotional wellbeing too

Hi 😊, I’ve been so much happier with some brighter days. It really really helps doesn’t it. When the children were younger we would often just go to the park with a picnic for a few hours or we’d do regular beach trips. My children are not so much wanting to go out with us as much ( yay the joy of teens 😆), our favourite is still a beach trip if we can organise/ persuade them to get away from their tech. Once out though they really love it. We have learnt to take binoculars and phone cameras with us now and try and have an extra activity when we are out. A few weeks ago we went to see the seals and everyone loved getting pictures and that was so good to see compared to always being indoors.
I know a lot of people with older children do geocaching and I was thinking about trying that? I don’t know if anyone else has tried that? I’m not sure we’d all have the patience to find something but I’m really keen to give it a go. Happy weekend everyone! 😊😊
I agree MrsHello, seeing some sun this last couple of days really perks you up.
I've done geocaching with my children and it's great fun - the thought of finding hidden treasure kept their concentration and was great exercise with everyone running to be the first to find it!
Oh that’s really interesting to know. I will properly look into geocaching I think. I personally would love looking for hidden treasures too lol. It would be great to have another activity that I could do with the children. Thank you. 😊
