Hi everyone! Just thought it might be nice to do a check in. It's a stressful time of year for lots of people, especially parents. How are you coping? Don't forget this is a safe space and it's OK to be honest. Let's support one another 🤗

Hi Vicki. Finding that 5-10 minutes of 'me' time with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book helps me during the festive season. We are hosting boxing day this year and there have been times in the lead up to Christmas where I have honestly thought about saying 'no' to it all! Don't get me wrong, Christmas is one of my favourite holidays but managing expectations (especially ones I put on myself) and familial relations is a tough job. Anyone ever just opted out of Christmas?

Hi, what a great idea! Erm I do love Christmas but my youngest has been unwell and so I feel not fully organised at this stage! Still lots to do and overall found older children presents are so much more expensive but smaller. I’m doing a lot of lists as I try and remember everything and trying to keep on top of things and be mum. .Just hoping that everyone is well to enjoy Christmas! I’m very much looking forward to lots of chocolate on Christmas Day too!! Happy Christmas everyone 🎄

Merry Christmas everyone, We were super organised and near done all the shopping by September 🤪, unfortunately this year see our Christmas not as planned my daughter got chickenpox last week which means we can't go to the in laws as planned 😔, but she's done amazing with it I was very scared to know how to deal with it lol but we all learnt together ( now waiting to see if my son gets it he is nearly 3 and not sure if he will handle it as well). My mum is very poorly and has had to go back to hospital for the 3rd time in two months. I'm trying my hardest to be happy for the kids.

That sounds really hard. How did it all go in the end?

It was ok, different but the kids were happy. My son got chicken pox on the 30th lol but we don't do anything for new year. He has been really good with it a few days of struggling and being more clingy (he is already a clingy child lol).

How was your Christmas and new year?
