Should I be worried about my 18 month old not talking? She literally says nothing although walking has been a recent milestone within the last 4-6 weeks so i’m not sure if that’s the reason why?! She’s recently become very vocal, babbling her own language and making noises at the top of her voice but no words. Should I be worried?

18 month old daughter not talking?
Hi there! All children develop differently but we understand it's hard not to worry. Why don't you try taking the communiction quiz at justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/quiz/... It will give you an idea of where your little one is at and make some suggestions for ways forward depending on your answers. At the Early Childhood and Family Service we have activity groups and one to one help that can encourage your child's language too. Fill in our form at wtinyurl.com/ecfshelp and one of our team will give you a call to talk through your concerns. Hope this helps.
If you are concerned try your hardest with different games and interactions however at her 2 Yr check up ask the health visitor to do a screening. This will then give you a clearer understanding and interventions can be made for you.
