Hi I have a one year old little girl I've always wanted two children but didn't plan on waiting till I was 36 to have my first I never wanted to be older than 32. But I was enjoying my career. Now I love my daughter so much I cant decide if I want a second. I would like her to have a sibling but I also do not want to be much older and I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant so will probably get it again so need age on my side lol.

We have said we will start trying in June so she will be 2 years old.

How did you decide to have a second child?

Do you think its affected your first child either for the better or not?

How long did you wait?

Hello Babypigeon ,

Great question, hopefully some of the parents on here, with more than one child will share what helped them make the decision to add to their families, and whether they felt it was the right time, or if there even is a right time...?

Let us know your thoughts,

:-)

I have three, a five year gap between first and second and a two year gap between second and third. The two year gap is better imo as they have more things in common, it’s very tricky to find activities for a 1, 4 and 9 year old to all enjoy. We knew we wanted our third and tried for a lot longer than we expected to have to. I’m in my thirties too. I am so grateful we had our third as he has finished our family perfectly, I have no urges for anymore children.
