I'm a Teenager 13 years on

Today is my 13th anniversary of the day I completed treatment and started the long road to recovery. They removed my final chemo pump and took out the pic line I had had for 8 months. I'm very grateful to be here and thank everyone who has supported and been with me on this site. It's nice to post some good news

Hi LizPleased to hear your doing well at 13 years. I'm 16 years post operation and we have both posted on many issues in the past. There will always be challenges with our with our digestive system but that gets much easier over the years.

All the best to you

Hi Liz, That's good to hear. I'm just coming up to the 13th anniversary of my oesophageal cancer op. and lead a normal life, eat what I like and do what I like, in fact life is just normal ,something I didn't think could happen following six weeks in hospital due to complcations. I'm now 83.

I’m ok, scan was clear but have to see an ENT specialist re loss of voice( which is ok now ) swallowing and cough. Personally I think it’s all part and parcel of what we have .

Great news from you and good luck for the rest of it. Keep me posted. Thinking of you xx
