Celebrating Three Years on

Last week I celebrated three years since being discharged from hospital after my surgery it was also my birthday. What was also very special for me was that I was also rowing in a Cornish Pilot Gig in The Queens Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the Thames.

Congratulations on everything, 3 years on, birthday and being in the Queens pageant. Certainly worth a drink, only tea for me, still not drinking but all the best for the future.

Hi Mick

It was six months post op before I managed my first full pint, did it taste good! Used to call in at my local a couple of times a week, buy a pint of Doom and have to leave most of it. So the first time I managed to down a full one was another highlight on the road to recovery. Three years on can manage Three (sometimes)

We are all aiming for highlights on the road to recovery, for me tea is getting better although still hasn`t got the taste I remember.

This weekend I`m away camping with my Cub pack, for the 1st time since my op so managing a weekend camping will be a big plus for me. Once again all the best its always great to hear other peoples milestones.

Hi Mick

Hope the weather improves for your camping. Don't forget to take extra pillows to raise yourself up and avoid the dreaded reflux.

Hi there, congratulations on reaching this milestone, that's brilliant news. Step by step life becomes more 'normal' as we adapt to the changes in our body following surgery but what a blessing technology, research and surgical procedures have enabled you to get to this point!

Well done.

Best wishes, Maggie

Congratulations on three years. The first pint after the op makes it all worthwhile along with getting rid of that horrible big C. I can manage a pint when the wife is not looking!

Eating a 10oz steak and washing it down with a pint - the only things I will not be able to do again. Great news about your 3 years and rowing in The Queens Diamond Jubilee Pageant.
