Babies and OCD

I was wondering if there is anyone who has a baby who also deals with OCD specifically with bodily fluid contamination. I have a niece and I feel I’m really missing out because if poo has gone on her leg and my sister has just wiped it off with a baby wipe I can’t touch her until she’s bathed. To me baby wipes don’t clean as it’s just water not soapy water. I also worry that because of it I’ll never have kids.

I admit I don't get the baby wipes thing. Isn't soap and water good enough? I certainly don't feel clean with just a wipe. Admittedly these wipes are more than water and do contain cleansing agents so technically they are hygienic, but I get where you're coming from.

There's no reason to think that you can't have kids because of this. People had kids before there was such a thing as baby wipes, and managed with soap and water. So can you!

Having a baby can trigger OCD, as it makes you hyperconscious of hygiene and germs. but lots of people with OCD are parents or become parents, and manage perfectly well.
