I’m sick of this, I feel totally trapped, like I won’t be able to think properly for myself again because of this, it’s mostly at night and it’s just getting not any better, please share if you have ANY tips because I feel like i have chronic fatigue trough these days now because I can’t sleep at night! I have other pretty bad health issues and wanting to knock this on the head it’s literally depressing the life out of me☹️

Insomnia is horrible. There are plenty of tips that can help though. Try to go to bed at a regular hour and get up at a regular hour. It can be tempting to lie in during the morning after a sleepless night but it simply means that you lose the regularity of hours and are more likely to have another sleepless night.

Keep electronic stuff to a minimum in your bedroom. So no browsing on your phone or watching programmes. Reading a favourite book before going to sleep can help.

Try to empty your mind when trying to go to sleep. It's not necessarily easy, but it does help.

Hey,

Hope you are doing a bit better today. Not sure what it is, but it feels like a lot of people are finding this week quite tough (me included!). I've always struggled with sleep, and when my health anxiety has taken over I've often found it hard to drift off then I've woken in a panic during the night. At the moment I'm relying on medication (prescribed by a GP), which I know is not a long term solution, but it's helping me through this tough time.

Aside from that, I've treated myself to some nice bath stuff and room sprays that allegedly promote sleep and restfulness. I don't have the TV on when I'm in bed anymore and I instead read my kindle cos that also helps distract me from browsing social media (where I ALWAYS find a post that upsets me) or from staring blankly at the TV which isn't good for the eyes either.
