I have extreme difficulty with concentrating on a book or a study material to the point of not being able to read, understand or process that information clearly. I am always thinking it to be ADD, but my doctor says its OCD. I am confused. Anyone with OCD has this? Are u able to work or carry out your job?

I can't make a diagnosis here, but many people with OCD have internal reading rituals. Also, having OCD can make it difficult to concentrate.
I do have my own internal OCD reading rules, but I do manage to read, and I read a lot. I don't have any trouble understanding or processing it.
It could be Attention Deficit Disorder though that's a condition I don't know much about. It might help if you checked out some of the other symptoms of OCD to know if you have it.
There are many forms of OCD, but it often includes excessive washing and fear of contamination, pushing away unwanted thoughts of violence or harm, redoing things because you feel you haven't done them 'properly', fear that you have actually harmed someone when you haven't. There are some online tests for OCD which you can do.
You may have unnecessary fear that u haven't understood the topic well that's why u are reading repeatedly. OCD may create fear that u haven't understood neatly. And in response u might repeatedly check whether u have understood or not. Take help of Dr. Talk all ur doubts with them.
