I just want to say well done to every one of us affected by OCD. It takes a lot of courage to live with this when you feel like you're fighting your own brain! When it feels overwhelming please take heart that there WILL be times when you will feel better.
Praise yourself for your achievements however small they may seem.
OCD is a condition you have it is not YOU.
You are a brave, loved human being who deserves happiness and peace as much as anyone else.
Be kind to yourself.

It does often feel as though I give myself credit for things others take for granted, like just getting out of the house, and getting some shopping in. But it's important not to belittle these things. They're proof that however much you struggle you can succeed.
Being creative and doing things helps to push away the OCD, as long as you don't overdo it. I've found that plenty of variety helps.
