Hey all. So many years ago when I delivered my first child, upon arriving home with the baby I had this awful thought "omg, did the Dr put on a new pair of gloves to deliver my baby?". I searched for answers for months asking anyone in the delivery room if they noticed him putting on new gloves and even calling him.
Would this be considered false memory OCD? I was convinced he didn't change his gloves because I couldn't remember. Thanks!

That's a really good example of false memory! A tiny doubt in your brain, that most people would quickly dismiss, is inflated by OCD until it becomes an almost 'certainty' that your brain has trouble letting go.
It's not surprising either that it was just as your baby was delivered that OCD raised its ugly head. Pregnancy and new motherhood are known to be triggers for OCD, as huge emotions, new responsibilities, hormones and tiredness combine to make a fertile ground for OCD.
That said, OCD is still treatable and you don't have to give in to it.
