I have a meniscus tear and osteoarthritis in my right knee.

I had to undergo a hip replacement surgery. After that, I underwent a physical therapy as a part of my recovery. I did a lot of squat exercises at that time. This has seriously affected my muscles and I suffered from pain in my left knee.

I consulted a physician and he told that I have a meniscus tear and osteoarthritis in my right knee. The pain began to increase gradually and I had to stop all the physical activities. I had to skip evening walks and skiing. I depended on the over-the-counter products. But, it provided only short term relief. I am planning to undergo a treatment for osteoarthritis from Toronto( apollocannabis.ca/chronic-p... ).

Is there anybody over here who has undergone this treatment before? Did it produce any positive results? Please give some genuine replies and suggestions.

Hello chr677! Thanks for sharing your story and question. I don't have a ready response or experience regarding your question about treatment and, like you, would encourage others in the community to chime in if they've had this treatment. What caught my eye is your inability to be active with walking, skiing, and other activities due to knee pain. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing this level of pain! A meniscus tear is no joke but proper physical therapy will go a long way toward healing, strengthening, and stabilizing the knee joint. While surgery is an option, too, I always encourage non-surgical options first - have you been able to try physical therapy? Low impact or non-weight bearing activities like swimming or pool activity, Tai Chi, stationary cycling, certain forms of yoga might also be good options to minimize load on your joints while keeping you moving and slowing further progression of osteoarthritis.
