Yin yoga invites you to move towards stillness. To get quiet. Not so comfortable. Yet in a supported environment. It can be so. We discover space in the body, space in the mind. Ahhhhhh (looooong sigh)

What's going on for you presently? It's important we allow ourselves space for inner reflection.

*old memories surfacing and you're wondering - why now?

*difficulty falling asleep or waking up in the early hours?

*a lot of muscular tension resulting in a sense of agitation and anger?

*feel like you don't have space for yourself. You're hemmed in?

*the outside world taking up too much bandwidth?

Yin yoga helps. Key tenets of this style are:

*poses are all floor based. Thus a grounding effect. Accessible

*poses are passive, meaning no active muscular contraction. Restful

*poses are gently held for between 2-5 minutes to facilitate deep release

*tones para-sympathetic nervous system. Rest, digest and recover

*you are invited to go inwards. To feel. To surrender

*draws upon Daoist principles. Opens up the energy meridians

*works more with bones as helps create space in your joints. We have over 200 joints in the human body.

All this, promotes a greater sense of ease. Of wholeness.

Have an explore for yourself with this yin yoga video. Perhaps you just watch it for now. And then have a play yourself. Remember to play more. Enjoy! Any questions, I'm here.
