Hi Shiriz. Yoga will benefit many conditions as it is a path towards wholeness, harmonising the mind and body. Look for a local beginner class and mention to the teacher your issues so they are aware. Also there are great online resources to avail of - yogaglo.com is a brilliant resource and you can trial it for free to see how you like it. After that it is a very reasonable monthly amount so this would suit you if you prefer to practise at home. Experiment and follow your instinct. I also advise turmeric to calm the inflammation and be mindful of too much sugar, alcohol, processed foods and caffeine. Yoga and nutrition will transform your health.
I’ve seen a guy who does arthritis and yoga on Amazon but I think it would be better to find a class so to no doing moves right.I only have suger that’s in foods I don’t drink coffee now my medication gives me high blood pressure and I don’t drink unless it’s juice or smoothie and drink loads of water with floating fruit lol. I’ve heard about turmeric but not sure how to induce it to my food.
Do you have a meal plan of some kind or should I just google
Hi
I have arthritis (osteo and rheumatoid) and other AI conditions that cause pain, visual and balance issues etc. I can't do yoga. However, my rheumatologist has referred me for hydrotherapy.
Once I learn the exercises at the hospital's pool, I will attend swimming sessions for the disabled and exercise there.
I can’t I’m interested as my fingers are losing shape and want to try helping them stay straight ish lol I can only swim like a brick 🤔
Have you asked your GP to refer you to a physiotherapist?
I’m already seeing one.I was just seeing if anything else I can do to help myself 🙂
I have heard about an alternative form of treatment which uses cannabis for reducing the pain of arthritis. Studies have shown medical marijuana has been able to increase the activity of the cannabinoid receptor CB2 that is reduced by arthritis, helping reverse the effects of inflammation and therefore reducing pain and improving movement.
