Mixed bag really, love the 60's music and also love compilation albums & all the up to date stuff, have to keep up with the times having a 13 year old.
I saw the drifters in coventry a few years ago and i met them backstage, and they were lovely. Also i forgot motown and philly. I saw a good group back in the seventies called blackfoot sue they were brilliant.xxx
I do just about any type. Classical chris rea Eric Clapton Dire Straits them were out of this world!!!!!!!!!!!! Michael Jackson another amazing gig. Would love to more its so expensive for tickets now. I keep looking at robbie williams. I can't justify the one hundred pounds per ticket. xx
When i went to see hot chocolate i think it was no more than £5,i have seen suzi qatro and gary glitter,i know he is an awful man,but he gave a damn good show for the money. My gig days are long over..xx
Yes think i would have to think quite a lot over anything i wanted to do now sadly. Like you have have seen hot chocolate well he's all boy thats for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a body i can still remember !!!!!!!!!xx
well its amazing how much help to get you there is available, you just have to ask and look Sylvie xx i would rather be in pain at a gig than in pain at home!
Im off to see Robbie, hubby treat me & my mum to tickets and overnight hotel stay in Manchester as its just over 3hrs drive and could drive there & back in one day.
There have a varied bunch of music on here and though we all have artur in common our music tastes go all around the spectrum. I don't think that lookng at this lot there isn't anything i can say i don't like.xxxx
Oh my...this stirs the brain cells...50's music..Elvis Presley, Chubby Checkers, Marty Robbins, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, the 60's..Four Ladds, Four Freshmen, the Platters, The Classics, Judy Garland, AC/DC, Billy Joel, Chicago, Neil Dymond, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Huston, Bette Middler, and then there are all the Country Western singers currently. Wow, have music going on most of the time. On a good day, I sing along.! The list is endless!
II'm probably going to show my age here. Watched an old TV programme on Dark Side of the Moon recently and it made me realise how much I really like a lot of the music that was around in the early 70's. Pink Floyd, some of the more interesting Paul McCartney and wings stuff, David Bowie, Osibisa, the Rolling Stones. Also things like Macarthur Park - an amazing bit of music at the time as it broke the mould for length of song that was common. I was also exposed to all sorts of other music around that time too including some really good blues and Jazz (remember seeing Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee in concert). Elvis was still being played a lot then - it was kind of like the later Abba in a lot of ways - noone would ever admit to liking it, but put it on at a party and everyone would be up dancing and singing in seconds. Could be just sentimental, as that was my student days, but I do think there was something quite exciting about the way music was starting to go then. In contrast I find a lot of later music quite boring, and not technically very interesting or good.
The freedom of our youth,no worries about tomorrow,no planning to go anywhere we just went. Stepenwolf born to be wild, that was the mantra of the day. Free all tight now. The trouble nowadays is trying to remember all these lovely groups and songs, before arthur there was never that problem was there ladies(sorry no men at this stage) I will keep adding to this when i can REMEMBER.xxx
