I've never had any problems getting necessary letters from doctors or specialists. How useful they are can be another matter, especially if its in relation to disability levels, as they don't always know how your RA affects you in day to day life - they only know about the medical side of it. But if the letter is just to get evidence of your illness, then there shouldn't be any problems.
I read that RA itself is considered a automatic reason for Disability. Now obviously it is if it's active!! but now they're making it a reason, and they weren't before .I noticed this because i am already on disability..and seen that . I think it is recent, but then again they change the rules all the time.
Copied all my hospital letters and sent these in even off the nurses. They still get these again of your medical notes
