Hi Sylvia, sorry no answer to that one, all I can suggest is rest as and when you need to and do what you can in the time you feel reasonably ok.
It's took me a long time to figure it out and come to terms with what my body can and can't do. These days I only have a few hours late afternoon when I'm at my best so try to fit in what I can in those hours.
Good luck hope someone has better advice for you.

Are you on steroids if so they will exhaust you. I found that out this morning. Tell your consultant evrything on how you feel. Also write down each day how you feel,i keep a daily diary which can change from day to day.Try asking about the drugs that you are on and see if they can be tweaked anyway. Sorry thats all i can tell you. Sylvia. xx
Hi Sylvia, I am afraid RA is known for causing exhaustion and extreme tiredness. All you can do is rest as much as you can, get plenty of sleep, try to put your feet up in the afternoon for an hour and on the days you are feeling really rough, just take it easy. There is nothing so important it can't wait until the following day or two when you don't feel so tired out.
As I often say, life is too short to stuff a mushroom - with our poor hands that is out of the question as well! lol.
I was also found to be suffering from Vit B12 deficiency and have been better with the exhaustion and tiredness since having regular 3 monthly injections. Perhaps worth checking and has your thyroid been checked as well? That can cause terrible fatigue particularly if under active. Can be checked with a simple blood test.
I don't think there is a pill you can take but your GP/Consultant will know about that. Best wishes. LavendarLady x
I have also started taking B12. I take 3 chewy tablets - 750mg- a day. I have been doing so for about 2 weeks and I feel so much better. I have had several days with no naps at all. I used to take 2 a day. Now just down to 1 everyother day, depending on my activity level the day before.
Hello
NRAS has a useful booklet on fatigue which can be downloaded from here
nras.org.uk/help_for_you/pu...
Unfortunately it seems to be case of pacing yourself - unfortunately from experience this is easier said than done.
There is also an article on their website that goes into more detail
nras.org.uk/about_rheumatoi...
Hope these might be of some help to you

I think the fatigue is almost worse than the pain of RA. No good answers, or rhyme or reason for how we feel from day to day and it is very discouraging.
I agree to do what you can when you feel good and rest when you don't. I am not very good at following that advice, but sometimes our bodies don't give us a choice.
Take a multivitamin, a good one from a health food store or naturopath
good luck, nancy
