Earlier i was wondering around central Bristol having a slight Amelie moment when i decided to pop into a bar to use the toilet............. I walked over the vast room to the stairs at the other end which had a sign pointing down to the toilets, but NO hand rail, So i started to walk gingerly down the stairs holding onto the wall with both hands..........load voice shouts at me from across the bar.... "excuse me madam no drunks in here, it's only 2pm"!!!!! Mortified i turn around and say "i'm not drunk!!!!! I just can't walk very well!!!", now was the barmans turn to be mortified..............."oh i'm so sorry madam may i offer you a complementory drink to say sorry", i just turned and waddled out of the bar, embarressed and sad my walking appeared as if i was a drunk person!.. as my friends/family are so used to the way i walk it never gets mentioned or seems strange, as my step daughter says (she's 8), "Ella just doesn't bend very well, that all" ah bless

defo it would be nice if we all just suddenly went into remission I'm relativley stable at the moment, the enbrel seem to help me about 60% and when i do have a flare it usually only lasts a week. I still get joint deteroration, but i think thats more down to the years of un controlled athritis with a CRP on 250!!! But complete remission would be good...maybe we should all send out remission vibes at the same time and it will happen on mass ;-0
I'm in to all that positive thinking, i was given some Tibetan Prayer Flags for my bday (multi coloures flags on a string each one for another prayer) and i have them strung up in the garden, the idea is they disintergrate with the wind and when they've gone the tibetan monks hear your prayers!!! Andy (my husband) said when he got home" I didn't know i was living with a F**king fairy"
You should of taken every free drink he offered and made a point of drunkenly falling out of his "anti drunk" bar!
In London pregnant ladies wear baby on board badges so people give up there seats etc so to stop insulting larger ladies with seat offerings we could have our own ones. Disease on board
How disgustinginly bad behavior on the barmans behalf. You should report him to the the company he works for, then see that he gets the sack. I'm sorry for ranting but i think he treated you appalingly and he should pay with his job. I bet he wouldn't treat a real drunk like that, also its discrimination and against the disablility act. Also as thers no disabled access they have another problem on their hands.
You are a better woman than i as i would have swore at him in no uncertain terms.
Hope you got over your emarressment and did get a loo break.
I totally agree Sylvi, when I worked in a bar (seems like centuries ago) we didn't tolerate drunks but we would never have shouted out loud like that. We were taught to deal with them discreetly and stop serving them not holler at them for all the world to hear. I think this barman should be reported as he obviously has no manners or decorum. Grrr people like that make me soooo mad!!
