I have been on Enbrel several years now so can't remember when i felt it was really working. The worse of the exhaustion was helped by the Leflonomide I was on before I started Enbrel.. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me. It has me back on my feet and walking, at least, two miles every day as part of my fitness regime.

All the best x

That's what i am looking for, is to get walking again. It is not the pain but exhaustion that is stopping me, I am so tired i feel like i am going to pass out due to lack of energy. Was it that bad for you ???

Hi Nancy, I take Enbrel too and am finding that the fatigue is absolutely profound, and I too feel like passing out on a daily basis. I don't know what to do. Let me know if you wish to correspond further.

Hi Nancy, I've been on Enbrel for 15months now, for me it was very gradual but around the 4th week I felt a real improvement, 8 weeks fantastic and within 16 weeks reached medically induced remission, has been ever since :)

Very few days I get exhausted but any healthy person would feel like that after work, gym and running after a family!

Hope you get results soon x

Hi again Nancy, I do understand how you are feeling. I spend all day in bed or laying on the couch. It's really awful. I hope you don't have to put up with this for too long.

hi nancy

i read alot on other sites , that enbrel is pretty much side effect free ,, apart from the odd reaction rash at injection point ,, but the first few weeks/months can cause some side effects making you feel abit poorly , then normally goes away once the body starts to get used to it .

have you been on enbrel long ? if not hopefully this will disappear ..

but still ,, any side effects big or small , should be mentioned to your GP or rheumy nurse ..

good luck .. hope you get better ..

i am feeling fine with the Enbrel , but i started it in hopes to get rid of the exhaustion i was feeling from the active RA, so just wondering if it helped people with exhaustion and how long after starting enbrel did exhaustion ease up a bit.

i have only done 2 - 25mg doses, new to me

thank you

i misunderstood the question ,, sorry nancy .. i thought you were meaning exhaustion ,, had started since starting enbrel .. oooops .. :) exhaustion really sucks, ,, doesnt it ?.. sure does make life difficult ,when your so totally knackered all the time .. i find that this is what alot of people dont understand .. if you find the answer ,, let me know .. but

hopefully, given abit more time , enbrel should start to help ,very soon ..

my rheumy , has mentioned enbrel for me .. but its taking forever or it seems like it , to go through all the nhs hoops .. to qualify for this treatment ..

good luck . nancy ,,...it would be nice , to know if it starts working...

I've been on it for 3 years, and I get extremely fatigued, usually 12-24 hrs after injection. Don't know what to do.

I see that this is a really old post. I've been on Enbrel for 4 months now and Methotrexate for 6 months. Nothing is helping. Extreme pain from my RA and extreme fatigue. Does anyone know of success stories for those who had to wait more than the 6 months I've waited? The drug makers even claim around 12 weeks as the point where if a drug is going to work, it would by the 12 week mark. Very discouraged... just looking for some hope.
