Are you taking MTX ?
Folic acid is normally precribed to offset some of the side effects of MTX
Julie
Folic acid settles the stomach and protects the liver as alot of medicine you may be on can affect your stomach
I agree. Folic Acid helps with the side effects of the MTX. Many of us take it 6 days a week but not on MTX day.
Any problems with meds, don't forget to ask your GP who will explain the whys and wherefores if you can't see or speak to your consultant or rheumy nurse.
Good luck with it. LavendarLady x
