Hi Claire, I feel the same but put it down to losing weight. I always wrap up now and wear my hat and gloves when out. x

Me me me!!! My feet are always freezing and i even have to wear socks in bed.. Hands too. I also get cramp in my toes when my feet are cold which i put down to circulation. Probably all part of RA

I wish! Spend my life turning down heating, opening windows and chucking jumpers in a corner. Currently begging OH not to turn on the heating yet as still too warm. So happy winter's coming and so won't be horribly hot all the time! So maybe the answer is that RA mucks up your inner thermostat, and you go wildly one way or the other.....? Polly

Hi my rhuemy nurse asked me if i was getting more hot flushes, so guess mtx does that. but when not boiling hot I also am feeling cold more. Must be the RA.

Hello, hope all is as well as can be... I dont think your alone with MTX side effects.

Have been on it since 2004 and noticed amongst other things (Poor Memory and Word Recall) my body temp is different to "normal" people. I am usually the opposite to norms!

All the best, FarJer

Is my poor memory and word recall down to the MTX? - thank goodness for that. I thought I had early onset senility!! Wendy xx

I think alot of people suffer from MTX (Chemo Drug) side effects of which memory impairment is one. I found an American Nursing Journel called "Lost in the Fog: Understanding Chemo Brain" which summed up everything I was going thru.

After some searching I found a 2011 summarised lab test from America where they took two groups of mice and gave one group MTX and another Placebos... They later found MTX group were lacked the ability to learn new things and remembering old things/routines was poor!

Dont want to scare you but this is soemthing I have always suspected and it plays havoc with co-ordination... well it does with me.

All the Best Tiger.

Andy youre funny.....Im off to work soon and I won't forget the notepad lol :)) Claire x

I get the cold hands and feet so badly they go white at times. I had assumed this was RA related Raynauds but reading this I'm not so sure - could well be the MTX is contributing although my inner thermostat is kaput too. I had an earlyish menopause with no other classic symptoms other than a shift from always being too hot and covered in eczema to being quite cold often and no eczema but plenty RA! I feel sure these things are connected. Even in hot Tuscany I'm feeling the cold a lot at night. TTx
