I was all ready to go into hospital this week to sort my right hand deformities, the RA rotted the tendons until they snapped, so cant straighten hand.
I got the phone call to say surgeon has phoned in sick and will be off for 1 month. talk about being let down. So got a few more weeks to wait, then get myself in the right state of mind for an operation again.
i feel flat, just want it over and done with.
Stopping MTX, restarting MTX and now getting ready to stop it again.
i was told i have to stay off it until the wound heals.
just wondering after a number of weeks off the MTX, can i go straight back onto 20mg or will i have to build up to that level again.

So sorry to hear that! These surgeons pick their time to be sick. I have had this operation on both my hands,( if it is the swan neck procedure). The first time, I got to the hospital early and I had a small cut on my hand and was sent home, because it had to heal first. So I had to wait a few more weeks. I think with MTX you have to start on a low dose again and work your way up slowly. Must say though that it is a marvelous operation. My hands are not perfect and I havent got full function but they work now and I am able to do more with them. Good Luck and hope youre not waiting to long.
Crumbles in the freezer. And froze the rest for to have with icecream.
Nice to have when the are out of season. So tell him now and enjoy some fresh blackberries later or get on with the gin...... it smells lovely already.
